Support Curriculum & Instructional Excellence
Co-plan lessons with teachers by participating in discussions, contributing ideas and suggestions for lessons and behaviour support, and carrying out learning activities

Assist teachers in preparing the learning environments, including preparing materials and resources for teaching and learning.
Work with teachers to maintain the classroom environment, facilities and other resources for maximum engagement of students in their learning.

Assist students, individually or in groups, during lesson delivery and help to present or reinforce learning concepts following lesson planning

Assist with the health, medical, safety and daily living needs of the students

The Special Education Teacher will report to the Manager for Education, and he/she will need to teach children with learning difficulties while acquiring the skills to manage the behaviour and academic challenges of the students.

Run programs and ensure that they are carried out following our philosophy and guidelines.

Carry out periodic assessments of our students to ensure their progress aligns with the agreed objectives.

Ensure that tasks are carried out professionally and following stated guidelines.

Provide timely feedback to the Director for Education and Parents on issues arising during lessons and work with Management to improve the work process.

The Behavior therapy assistant supports therapists before, during and after therapy sessions.

She/ He is responsible for supporting department administration and operations and participating in continuing education to further her/his knowledge in behavior therapy.

Requirements

Minimum ITE/GCE “N” level or equivalent or relevant therapy/rehabilitation support certification.

Possesses good basic communication in English, interpersonal skills and a team-oriented personality.

Prior experience as a Therapy Assistant is preferred but not required.
