Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully. By enrolling your child at Starlight Centre, you agree to the terms and conditions set out below.

1Registration

Students are required to pay:

  • Registration fee: $50
  • 1-month deposit

2Payment and Refund

New clients, parents, and students undertake to pay the applicable course fees, including the deposit, upon signing the Registration Form and, in any event, within three (3) working days from the date of the invoice issued by Starlight Centre Pte Ltd.

Existing clients, parents, and students undertake to pay all other applicable fees within two (2) weeks from the date of the invoice, and before the 5th of every month. A late payment fee of $15 will be incurred if payment is made after the 5th of the month.

A student cannot commence or continue classes while fees are outstanding and unpaid. A student's place in any Core Programme, Holiday Programme, or Special Programme is not confirmed until full payment of all applicable fees is received.

Monthly Student Care fees continue to apply even if the student is unable to attend (holiday, illness, quarantine, or any other reason). There will be no pro-rating or refund of student care service fees for partial-month absence.

A $50 charge applies for late pickup of your child after dismissal time at 6:30pm.

3Notice of Withdrawal

One calendar month's written notice of withdrawal must be given to Starlight Centre Pte Ltd.

  1. This allows for the appropriate administration of any outstanding fees owing to the centre or the student.
  2. The deposit retained will offset the final monthly before/after school care fee payable.
  3. If less than one calendar month's notice is given, Starlight Centre Pte Ltd shall not be obliged to refund any part of the deposit.
  4. A duly completed withdrawal form is submitted to Starlight Centre Pte Ltd one (1) calendar month in advance.
  5. The withdrawal form can be obtained from the Supervisor of each Centre.

There should be no other outstanding payments. If there are, the deposit will be used to offset the final monthly Student Care Service fees, and parents must settle the outstanding payment before the child leaves the centre.

4Conduct of Tuition Classes

  • There will be no make-up lesson for any missed lesson.
  • Fees for unattended lessons are strictly non-refundable.
  • When the child is sick, quarantined, or absent from classes, there will strictly be no make-up class or lesson replacement.
  • There will be no classes held on public holidays, school holidays, or days designated by Starlight Centre Pte Ltd as non-schooling days (including weather/emergency/safety reasons, retreats, excursions, or administrative non-working days). No replacement classes will be scheduled and no class fees will be refunded unless otherwise indicated.

Starlight Centre Pte Ltd reserves the right to transfer, suspend, or terminate a student with immediate effect if the client, parents, or student breach any provisions of the contract, or if their behaviour is deemed detrimental to the welfare or safety of staff or other parents and students, or for any other reason Starlight Centre Pte Ltd deems fit. In such cases, Starlight Centre Pte Ltd is under no obligation to return any deposit or fees paid.

5Rights to Accept or Reject

  1. Starlight Centre Pte Ltd reserves the right to accept or reject any registration without explanation.
  2. Starlight Centre Pte Ltd reserves the right to make changes to the conduct of classes, including transferring, combining, dividing, or dissolving a class, changing teachers or specialist trainers, rescheduling classes, and varying how classes are conducted (including E-Classes).
  3. Starlight Centre Pte Ltd may refuse entry to a student who is unwell or believed to have been exposed to an infectious disease.
  4. Starlight Centre Pte Ltd may amend or vary the venues and contents of classes according to programme priorities and student needs.

Starlight Centre Pte Ltd does not guarantee that a student can attend any particular class or timeslot or receive classes from any specific staff. Starlight Centre Pte Ltd reserves the right to place a student in an appropriate class or timeslot at its sole discretion.
